Recently during the Hello live session, Shoaib Akthar revealed that why he was very sad when he got out Sachin Tendlkar for 98 runs in 2003 World Cup. Shoaib Akthar said that,"I was very sad Sachin got out for 98. It was a special innings. He should have touched th century mark. I wanted him to slam century. For that bouncer, I may loved to see him hit a six, as he did it before."

The India vs Pakistan match was held at Centurion in South Africa. After Batting first Pakistan scored a total of 273-7, where Saeed Anwar scored a century. With the challenging chase total of 274, Virendar sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar opened the innings for India. Even though Sehwag got out in the sixth over, Sachin Tendulkar went on scoring runs with his bat. He scored a 98 runs of 75 balls including 12 Boundaries and a six of it. Then, Sachin Tendulkar got out by the Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akthar. Sachin's 98 against Pakistan in 2003 world cup is considered on of the greatest ODI knocks in the history of cricket. It helped India to chase 274 runs against their rival team Pakistan.

The 44-year-old Shoaib Akthar also continued saying that Sachin played in the toughest era of cricket. He said that,"Tendulkar batted in the toughest era of cricket. If he had to get the chance now, he may hit more than 1.30 lakh runs. So, it's not good to make a comparison between Sachin and Virat Kohli."

In a video posted on his channel, akthar said that his fitness and poor captaincy from the skipper Waqar Younis should be blammed for Pakistan's lose in all the important game. Akthar said that,"The most disappointing match for me in my entire career was the 2003 World Cup match against India at Centurion. We had failed to defend a target of 274 despite having a very good bowling line up."

Shoaib Akthar have played 46 Tests and 163 ODIs for the Pakistan Cricket Team.
