The Pakistan Cricket Board have said that Pakistan team will leave for their England tour on Sunday with 20 players & 11 supporting staffs. Even though 6 out of 10 infected players were tested negative in their second test, they are not being sent to England on Sunday.

Pakistan Board have made sure that, there will be another test for those players who have tested negative in the second time. If they were tested negative in third test, only then the Pakistan Board will arrange the players to send for England's tour of Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board CEO have also said that reserve players like fast bowler Musa Khan & Wicket-Keeper batsman Rohail Nazir had also tested negative and would be leaving with the team.

The Pakistan players will remain in isolation for 14 days in England & then they will be allowed to train from July 13 for their Test & T20I series against England.

PCB CEO Wasim Khan said that,"I am aware Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz took personal tests outside of our process prior to the second PCB testing. While their results came negative, as per the PCB testing programme, they are deemed to have one negative test following a positive test. Therefore, once they are retested and received a second negative result under the PCB testing programme, they will be available to join the squad in England."

The 6 players who tested negative in the second test are Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan & Wahab Riaz. Players who have tested positive in both tests are Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Kashif Bhatti & Imran Khan.

Wasim Khan further said that,"This was a challenging and unprecedented process that we have conducted and I am pleased that following a second round of testing, we are able to confirm 20 players and 11 players support personnel will travel to Manchester on Sunday."

"Due to increasing number of national cases and availability of testing labs in some players' home towns, I think the PCB medical panel have done a good job to get us through this process," Wasim Khan added.
