Upcoming Series of Ind vs Aus will be a cracking series, says Dravid

The Former Indian Cricket Player Rahul Dravid says that the upcoming Test series of India vs Australia will be bigger and stiffer this time as Steve Smith & David Warner are back with the Australian Team with full strength.

When India won the Test series against Australia at their home, it turned into a historic series win for the Virat Kohli led Indian Team. It was the first time an Indian team had won Test series Down Under. India won the series as 2-1. Unfortunately, Steve Smith & David Warner were banned for 1 year for doing Ball-tampering against South African Test Series. So, Smith & Warner missed the series of India vs Australia in 2019. Tim Paine led the Australian Team in absence of Smith & Warner. When India won the series, questions are posed that result would have been different if Steve Smith & David Warner were part of the team during the series.

So, Rahul Dravid believes that this upcoming series of India vs Australia (2020) will be more challenging for Indian Team as Steve Smith & David Warner are back with Australian Team.

Rahul Dravid said on Sony Sports' Ten Pit Stop show that,"I think it'sgoing to be a great series. Especially after India won last time, it was a fantastic win for India. So they (Australia) will be keen to correct that had and there has been a lot of talk about that. It is the marquee series of the year and there has been great build up. I am really hoping we will be back to normal or at least normal enough to play the series."

"It should be a cracking series between two top class teams. Australia are back to full strength with Smith and Warner. I think the area Australia struggled last time was their batting, they kept collapsing. Never gave their bowlers enough time to rest and they would hope it doesn't happen this time," he added.

Dravid also said that Indian bowling has improved tremendously in recent years. "India's bowling has been great over the last couple of years, so it should be a great contest between Bat & Ball. Australia can always look back to last time and say Smith and Warner, our best players, were not there. This time hopefully all the best players from both the teams will be competing."

He further added that,"Missing Smith and Warner was big for Australia because of the kind impact they have on the team. They are the best vatsman they have and score the maximum runs. You saw the kind of impact Smith had on the Ashes. It is going to be a bigger and stiffer challenge this time around. India has got the firepower to complete with that. They have some top players too."

India vs Australia Test series are scheduled to play four Tests, which will be started from December 3 at Gabba. Australian team did not lose a single Test match at Gabba since 1988. It is being highly anticipated that Indian team may break the record of Australia at Gabba.
