Hafeez, Riaz joins the Eng vs Pak Test Series after tested negative

Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz & four other Pakistan cricketers, who were tested positive in their first COVID-19 test, have tested now negative in England and they will be joining the Pakistan cricket team in their training sessions.

The England vs Pakistan Test series is scheduled to begin from July 30. Initially, for the Test series, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced a 29 member squad for the England tour. Due to the outbreak & spread of coronavirus throughout the world, PCB have decided to test twice for COVID-19 to players before sending them to England for the Test series. In the first COVID-19 test, 10 players were tested positive including Mohammad Hafeez & Wahab Riaz. Every one were shocked to see, because some of the top players of Pakistan cricket were tested positive. But in the second test conducted by the PCB, 6 out of 10 players were turned to negative for COVID-19 test. So PCB decided that the 6 players who turned negative will be tested again. If they turned negative in the 3rd test and then they will be send to England. So those 6 players were not sent with 20 players, who arrived England last week.

The six Pakistan cricketers - Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Fakhr Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Hasnain were the cricketers, who were tested negative on their second test. The Pakistan Board conducted the third test for those players on Tuesday and all those six players were tested negative for COVID-19. So, the PCB have arranged to send them England. The players arrived on Saturday & they had undergo a another test by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). 

The Pakistan Cricket confirmed that all those six Pakistan players who arrived in Worcester, England have resulted negative for the COVID-19 test. All six of them will join the Pakistan squad in their training sessions.

"Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Fakhr Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Hasnain joined the national squad. All of the players who arrived in Worecester yesterday have had tested negative for COVID-19. Due to the negative results of the test, six players were allowed to practice," Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said.

Both England & Pakistan are scheduled to play three Tests & three T20Is in a bio secure bubble, which will start from July 30.

Before the Test series with Pakistan, England are set to play 3 match Test series with West Indies, which will commence from July 8. The Test series of England vs West Indies will mark the return of International cricket after 3 months. Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the cricket sport was postponed.
