The West Indies cricket team, which is touring England, is playing on a three- match Test series. West Indies won the first Test at Southampton by 4 wickets. England retaliated by winning the 2nd Test at Manchester by 113 runs. Thus the series tied as 1-1 draw.

In this case, this 3rd & final Test match will determine who will win the series. If West Indies win the match, they will be winning a series in England since 1988. West Indies are in the hope of creating a history in this match. The final Test between the two teams starts today (Friday) at Old Trafford, Manchester.

The England Team bounced back in the 2nd Test after suffering a setback due to the absence of captain Joe Root in the opening Test. Even though, the day 3 fully was cancelled due to the rain interruption, Ben Stoke's excellent all-round performance in the 2nd Test was instrumental in England's victory. He scored a century (176 runs) in the 1st innings & 78 runs (57 balls) in the 2nd innings and also took 3 wickets in the match, which made the break through. He awarded the Man of the Match for his excellent performance.

Jofra Archer, who was withdrawn from the 2nd Test for breaching the COVID-19 protocols, has joined the team now for the 3rd Test match. But Archer is mentally disturbed as he was receiving racist abuse, while he was undergoing a 5 day isolation. Is he is mentally strong enough to play the last Test? It remains as a doubt, it will be known only after the toss, if he is playing or not. James Anderson, who was rested last match, is looking forward to take place in the 3rd Test.

The Jason Holder led West Indies team, have performed well in bowling, but failed to perform well in batting. Shai Hope's continued suffocation (9, 16, 7, 25 in two Tests respectively) is a setback for the team. The West Indies batting line-up will be strengthened if he accumulates enough runs.

West Indies coach worried about the top order of the team. So he is said that they are considering to change the top order. He also said that, West Indies batsman scored 4-5 half centuries in the 2nd Test alone, but no one turned that into a century. He is worrying about that they are not using the opportunity well. Like Ben Stokes & Tom Sibley scored centuries, the coach expects West Indies batsman also to score the centuries.

England Squad: Joe Root (captain), Ben Stokes, Dom Sibeley, Rory Joseph Burns, Zak Crawley, Chris Woakes, Jos Butler, Ollie Pope, Dom Bess, James Anderson, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, Stuart Board, Joe Denly.
