After MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina also announces his retirement

 The Indian cricket team all-rounder Suresh Raina announced his retirement from International Cricket. Following the retirement of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina also decided to retire from the International Cricket.

Back to back shocking news for the cricket fans. Suresh Raina announced his retirement through the social media. He followed the mahi way and chose to join in Dhoni's journey.

He wrote on Instagram that,"It was nothing but lovely playing with MS Dhoni. With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!"

MS Dhoni & Suresh Raina can been seen in action in yellow jersey with the franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2020, which is set to be held in UAE from September 19.

The left-hand Batsman Suresh Raina made his debut, when he was 19 years old against Sri Lanka. However, his Test debut came 5 years later, against the same opposition Sri Lanka. He scored a century on his Test debut. 

Though, In his ODI Debut he went on for a duck, but over the years he made himself to become on of the finest limited over cricketer.

Suresh Raina have achieved many records in the International cricket. He is the third batsman & first ever Indian batsman to hit century in all three formats of International cricket. He is the only Indian to score a century in both T20 & ODI World Cup. 

He have played 19 Tests, 226 ODI & 78 T20I for the Indian cricket team. In that, he have scored 768 runs at 26.28 average in Tests, 5,615 runs at the average of 35.31 in ODI & 1,605 runs at the average of 29.18 in T20I.

Apart from his batting skills, Raina is regarded as one of the greatest fielders in the modern cricket. With his fielding skills, he have wondered everyone. The South African player Jonty Rhodes, who is regarded as one of the best fielder in the world cricket history, have also lauded Raina before and said, Raina is the favorite Indian team fielder for him.

Raina is also an occasional right hand off-spin bowler. Though he is not a regular bowler, he takes important wickets when he comes to bowl. He have made the breakthrough several times.
Raina have excelled his skills well in domestic cricket too. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he have played for 2 franchise teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) & Gujarat Lions (GL). Suresh Raina is known as Mr.IPL for his excellent & consistent performance through out the IPL every seasons. He is the second highest run scorer in IPL with 5368 runs at the average of 33.34.

Among the many excellent knocks in IPL, Suresh Raina's 87 runs off 25 balls against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in 2014, still remains an epic knock & still remains afresh in the minds of his fans. In that match, Raina hit 12 fours & 6 sixes.
