Pakistan were all out for 326, England struggles in 1st innings: ENGvPAK

 Pakistan were made all out for 326 runs in their first innings. Masood hits century & increased the Pakistan's score little high. With the trial of 326 runs, England started their 2nd innings. The opening itself was a tragedy for England. Top order batsman dismissed for single digit runs. England are struggling their 1st innings. At the end of 2nd day, England scored 92 runs and lost 4 wickets.

England vs Pakistan 1st Test

The first Test cricket match between England and Pakistan started in Manchester on Wednesday. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 139 for 2 in 49 overs at the end of the opening day. Babar Azam were unbeaten on 69 and opener Shaun Masood on 46. 41 overs were affected on the first day due to the interruption of rain. In this condition Pakistan continued batting on the 2nd day yesterday.

Babar Azam(69) was caught by Joe Root on the slip in the first over in the day 2 by James Anderson. Everyone expected that, he will make century in this match too & make it as a 4th consecutive Test century. But he was caught on 1st over on the day 2. This is Anderson's 590th wicket. Azad Shafiq (7 not out) and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan (9 not out) came next. Pakistan then stumbled with 176 runs for 5 wickets.

Shaun Masood-Shatab Khan Partnership

Shatab Khan then supported and assisted  Shaun Masood. Both rescued the team from the tragedy. Shaun Masood completed his 4th century as he tackled the England bowlers' ball well. It is noteworthy that he has seen hundreds in 3 consecutive innings.

Shatab Khan (45) was out when the team's score rose to 281 runs. Then Shaun Masood also dismissed by LBW, after hitting 2 sixes in spinner Tom Bess' over. Shaun Masood scored 156 (319 balls, 18 fours, 2 sixes) & it became his highest Test score in his International career.

In the end, Pakistan were all-out for 326 in 109.3 overs in the first innings. For England, Stuart Broad and Jofra Archer took 3 wickets each.

England struggles

England then played their first innings, with the trial of 326 runs. But opening itself disappointed England. Openers Burns & Sibley dismissed for single digit runs. Skipper Joe Root also went on for just 14 runs. And most importantly, Ben Stokes dismissed for a duck. And then Pope & Butler scored some runs for England. At the end of day 2, England struggled and scored 92 runs and lost 4 wickets.
